I am so excited that my first ever widget is in the gallery....
but i cant create a badge for it, the badge creation page can't find my widget?

"Tools Library" by Claire, i don't know how they got my wifes name and she thinks it's funny since i slaved away and she gets the credit, but i digress.

Whats wrong with my widget or Yahoo web page?

and how can i get it fixed?

I don't know why the lookup is failing, but generate the code for another Widget and change the "aid" value in the URL for your Widget (w6980).

Is "Claire" the display name for the Yahoo profile that submitted the Widget? The two seem to be interconnected.

In what format was the Widget submitted to the gallery?

The in-page installer won't install it either (falling back to a download link).

It seems to be a delay from when they first put the widget on the server to when you can actually create the badge i have found that after a day or two the issue goes away i have emailed one of the guys at YW with screen grabs ect

you can see the issue at the momment if you go to my web site that is still under construction www.catiawidgets.net

Compressed? A .zip file with the extension changed to .widget or a flat file .widget that was zipped before submission (i.e. file.widget.zip)?

It was compressed using the Widget Converter ~ into a flat file.

That does look to be the case. The badge creator finds and works with "Encoding.com Monitor" now.

I know from talking with one of the back-end gallery devs that there's a 24 caching delay for certain tasks, so I could see badge creation being affected.

Yeah it does seem that there is a 24hr period before i can correctly use the badge i created, but after that i still have issues creating the badge in step one I'm missing the small image preview, but other than that it generates the code fine.

I think the inpage installers are cool
