Few weeks ago I told my user that I'm concern YWE might die See - http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/tvnavigat...page/2#comments

In response one of my users talk with yahoo, and they said this is not true.
I haven't seen anything official from yahoo, and I think we waited enough, we heard rumors about developers not longer working on YWE, we heard about a new platform, (something about widgets on TV) anyway I just think we deserve to know the answers to few questions (I'm sure you guys have more):
1) If yahoo continue to develop YWE for Windows/Mac ?
1.1) if the answer is yes, when is the next major version (not just bug fixes) release planned date (no commitments guys, just plans)
2) If the next YWE for Windows/Mac will suport the current widgets, or all developers will have t do a major work to make current widgets works.
3) If the TV version of YWE, is an addition (same platform will support widgets (the current developed widgets) on Windows/Mac) or a different platform that can not run the current widgets
3.1) If users/developers need a special TV/Hardware to use/develop widgets for the new TV addition/platform

Yahoo team, I'm sure that if you will answer the above questions it will help the widgets community, I think it is time to be clear about YWE future.

All I'm doing / saying is because I love YWE,and want to see it for the next years, I love develop widgets for YWE, and want to continue doing so, but I need some assurances, I do not want to waste my time, (between working 11 hours a day , family and friends I do not have so much of it)

thanks

Yes, I would like to know more about how to develop for the TV, and what we need to get the "Widget Channel".

I'd just like to know if the dev's are coming back to the Y!WE, and if they'll stay there, or is Yahoo just going to be pulling them off again after another year to try something else...
