Anyone know why Sirius Tuner no longer works with Konfabulator 4.0.3x178? The icon appears but the player does not and it also does not launch Windows Media Player. This used to work fine.

I made sure I delete all older versions of Sirius Tuner. Any suggestions?

...also, why don't "Widgets" have version numbers???? Doing a "Get Info" tells you nothing. If a certain Widget needs a certain version of Konfabulator how would you know if you Widget can run with the version of "Yahoo Widgets"? And thats another thing, why are there two names, "Yahoo Widgets" and "Konfabulator"? Are they both one in the same? Some days I think computer science takes a few steps backwards......

They do. They just don't show on Mac Get Info thing.

Widgets have a "minimumVersion" saying what's the minimum version of the widget engine required. If you have an older one, it would alert you and the widget won't run.

Konfabulator is the original name, which people like so they still call it that way smile.gif Yahoo Widgets is the new name it took when Yahoo bought it.

Version 2.1.5 of Sirius Tuner requires version 4 of K.
In particular, the filesystem.createDirectory function does not exist on K 3.1.5x105-UB.

Running it on 4.0.3x177 on the Mac, it goes into a loop in function md(). I've had a quick look at it, but it's far too complex to debug someone else's code. You need to contact the author.

Ok, I did not go back far enough in my files. I have the older versions of the Sirius Tuner I downloaded in folders by date (since I can see no version numbers in Widgets)....I unstuffed the player in my "Sirius Tuner 2/07" folder and that one DOES work with Yahoo Widget Engine 3.1.5 x 105-UB.

Still don't know why the newer Widget Engine and Sirius Tuner don't work togther??

Thanks,
Jeff

I contacted the author and he says "Unfortunately I don't have a Mac anymore and I have never tried 2.1.5 on Mac so I couldn't tell you what the problem might be."

Sooooo.....I guess this new version of Sirius Tuner on the Mac is dead.

But I did find this:
http://vm.nicemac.com/SiriusMac/Welcome.html

...am trying it now as an alternative to using the older version of Widgets and Sirius Tuner. Just posting this for anyone else who might be having issues with Sirius Tuner on the Mac.
