Did you get permission from Yahoo to mod the calendar? On the widgets officially made by Yahoo [or at least most of them; I haven't checked all], you can use the code for whatever you want (BSD-licensed), but images may not be used. Quoting the license: QUOTE All sound files and image files included in this Widget, including but not limited to graphic logos, trademarks, and service marks, are licensed to the end user solely for presentation in this Widget on the end user's machine and for no other purpose, and all rights are reserved by Yahoo!.

Try these. QUOTE On the widgets officially made by Yahoo [or at least most of them; I haven't checked all], you can use the code for whatever you want (BSD-licensed), but images may not be used Well here's some images for you. Problem solved. If you PM me your email i can send you the photoshop files so you can make any changes you want. They're .png in the same size (and names) as the ones in the Yohoo Calendar resources folder. Except I redid the graphics. Also, don't feel obligated to use them, I did them for fun. And if you do, don't even credit me. [EDIT] Of course, you'll still have to redo all the other images...

Not quite. That would work on images without a glassy highlight. If you stretch the middle, its highlighted curve would not match that of the edges (that were not stretched). Your best bet would be to make this image via canvas so that it could be dynamically resized and highlighted.
Now I saw someone on this forum do just that.... where's the link....

Here it is.However, the link belongs to BOINCer. He mentioned here that he would like to be asked permission for use first.

QUOTE(Michael's Programming @ Jun 13 2007, 01:12 PM) If you merge the left and right edges with the center image (7 images total instead of 9) then you can resize the center without worrying about how the highlight curve lines up since it would adjust the whole image. Internal features like the bottom edge of the heighlight are less of an issue visually than the rounding of the corners themselves, so this would probably be a viable alternative. As a side benefit of dividing the image into multiple pieces you can add click handlers to individual image elements e.g. the lower right corner such that dragging the corner will resize the whole image while leaving the rest of the images alone so that clicking on them will still allow you to drag the whole widget around on your screen.

There's no reason why you can't resize a small section from the middle (where the highlight is flat). This way, only the slim middle pieces get stretched and the highlight curve is preserved. ALthough in some situations (especially with poorly made images) you can end up with that middle section becoming more transparent as it gets wider. If people want the .psd file, sing out and I'll upload it.
