QUOTE(bjbk @ Dec 18 2006, 01:13 AM) They look sweet mate, really nice! How long till i can see how it looks on my desktop? Thanks! I assume that "soon" is not a good enough answer? They are in active development right now and you can expect to see an alpha or beta version within 2 weeks (maybe sooner).

Sweet.
A result of starting my server over, some of the links from my posts will not work (especially those in the "temp" subdomain). If there is a link to something of which anyone would like to have a copy, personal message me with what you're looking for, a way to provide this to you, and I'll see if I can find a copy. Progress - Yes. it's now in final alpha design and testing (PC side). Should see something within 10 days or so here... Network monitor - will be adding that once initial testing is done and we get feedback on the current gauges and styles. Here it is in action on my desktop (plus pardon the mess and click on it for larger view): It's coming together and will be made available for testing here soon.

QUOTE(Snowyowl @ Feb 10 2007, 11:55 AM) How goes it ?
You have excellent timing. We had to get the lead developer a mac to make testing easier and we had to resolve some issues between the engine differences on the two platforms but we are now in final internal beta testing and you should the first public beta on Monday. Looking forward to the feedback from the public.

2 words: Simply amazing.Question: How often do you update the % label? - I ask because it seemed hugely more responsive than SimpleMonitor. (Neon reported a second long 50% spike and SM reported only 15%) Your Widget (painfully) pointed out that I need to add more RAM to my laptop. I already knew this but, seeing it in Red makes a difference. (My system constantly uses 80-90%!) Plus, via the swap monitor, I saw how full my virtual memory really is. my computer has had to increase virtual memory 3 times in the last couple of weeks. (I think that some not so optimized Widget betas that I am developing did it....)

QUOTE(g6auc @ Feb 13 2007, 06:13 PM) On Mac OS X 10.4.8 with Y!WE 3.1.5x105-UB, I'm getting an odd effect with the preference panes.
The Widget Prefs always show in reduced size and font, whether called from the context menu or the Gear menu.
The Gauge Prefs appear in reduced size the first time I open them after starting the Widget. On subsequent use, they appear normally.
Harry.
Harry, I assume you are not seeing that odd behavior with any other widgets and it happens even after you restart the engine? That's an odd one alright since I was not under the impression would could even effect the form and preference panels. QUOTE(CSM @ Feb 13 2007, 06:56 PM) 2 words: Simply amazing. Thanks and every second. That's something that could be a user setting to keep the overall cpu usage down, I suppose.

Harry, We've seen the problem as well. Thanks for pointing it out. EDIT: Easy fix. Coming in next version. -jc

That's an odd one alright since I was not under the impression would could even effect the form and preference panels. It does happen consistently with your Widget, even after a restart of the Widget Engine. I've seen the effect very occasionally with other Widgets, but only when I've used the option/alt key in the Gear menu to open the preferences. QUOTE We've seen the problem as well. Thanks for pointing it out. EDIT: Easy fix. Coming in next version. I'd be very interested to know what causes the effect. Harry.
