Hey Andyduke, this is a tight widget. It sits on the bottom of my second monitor and love it. A couple bugs/suggestions:
1. Using the second monitor, when I get a notification it stays on the same x-axis as what my taskbar finishes on, but starts over on the second monitor and finishes on the first normal like it should. 2. Could you make it possible to have more than one Y! mail sensor? I know it uses the widget y! mail, but having 2 yahoo mail accounts I would love to have the ability for that. 3. I wish you could make the mail sensor prefs where like one click would be refresh and two clicks would be opening or something along those lines. 4. Having a pop3 email is cool, but I hate how it opens outlook. Could you let me set a url to my mail and it open that? Thanks.

QUOTE(andyduke @ Oct 20 2009, 03:16 PM) All together cross fingers and wait for AIR 2.0. Perhaps it will serve as a platform for the Informer 3.
what does this mean for Informer? did you already finish coding for AIR 1.5? in any way, this is great news because Informer is the only reason i still have yahoo widgets

AIR 2.0 will be more integrated with the system, there will be new opportunities for the implementation Informer, such as a class to obtain information about the network, launch and control external applications, the classes for information and notices about Storage Volume, etc. See more http://tv.adobe.com/watch/max-2009-develop...n-adobe-air-2-/

I meant that with the release of AIR 2.0 i will be able to realize 95% of the Informer functionality with AIR.

QUOTE(ghostwalker @ Mar 29 2010, 01:33 PM) I have not tried Informer but Yahoo Widgets run fine under Windows 7.
I just installed Windows 7 in a VM to test many things including Yahoo Widgets. Just from quick testing I have noticed "minor" UI issues all related to transparently levels or the like it seems. I quote minor because the UI is a big part of widgets so I kind of consider this a big issue. Informer shows several of them. In the following comparison look at the lightness vs darkness of multiple elements such at the corners and the scroll bar: Vista: 7: Here is another comparison: Vista: 7: And another: Vista: 7: Of course Informer is not the only on with issues. Look at any widget using the default scroll bar such as Yahoo's own NCAA widget: Vista: 7: In this case the behavior is a bit different, the top and bottoms of the scroll bars are dark but the main part of the scroll bar is not themed at all.

I went ahead and created a new thread about Windows 7 support and linked to the above post to start things out. Here is that thread: https://www2.konfabulator.com/forums/index....st&p=120847

Looks like the Yahoo sensor might be broken again. Says the connection has timed out but clicking on the sensor opens Yahoo mail fine. Suspect something is different in the feed. Also, there is no ability to change the sign-in information...anyone know where the data is stored so I can delete it and start again? Just deleting the sensor does nothing...does not allow for sign-in info

My apologies for posting that here, my reasons are that the forum won't let me open a new topic but I can reply to those already created. Also, some of what my widget does is similar to the informer widget. The informer widget is gorgeous by the way, very elegant and stylish, the antithesis of mine which is designed to be clunky and mechanical. On another note if you'd be so kind as to submit it to yahoowidgeteers on deviantart we'd be more than please to receive it. Link below: http://yahoowidgeteers.deviantart.com/
